If you want to post a generous offer to help your fellow New Englanders who have been affected by the flood, just email us at web@necn.com. Please Note: Send in "Discount Offers" only if they are substantially discounted and very generous. We realize people need to cover costs, but we reserve the right to refrain from publishing certain offers we feel may be too commercial. We hope you will understand. ALSO NOTE: Some of you may get a "Mail Not Delivered" notice. Ignore that. We're getting the messages, it's just that our system is very busy. Trust us – we get every message.

Reminder from NECN: take care when responding to offers

We know how kind and generous New Englanders are. We appreciate the offers of free and greatly discounted help that are coming in, and we are posting every one. But please note: we're offering this as a public service, and we aren't able to check out every offer to ensure they are sincere. Use common sense when responding, and don't give out too much personal information until you are comfortable with the offer. We have no reason to doubt the sincerity and generosity of everyone – we just want you to be safe.

FAQ: “Why isn’t my offer posted here?”

We have been getting many inquiries about why some of your offers have not been posted. The answer is usually because we're just trying to keep up with the many offers that keep coming in. Sometimes we miss one. Another answer: offers of "discounted services" need to be more specific. We want real generosity here, not just a sale. Tell us you're offering a service at or near cost, and compare it with your usual price for the best chance at getting posted.
